澳洲教育業遭遇信任危機，一系列私校從09年7月開始相繼倒閉，僅悉尼地區就有Alfa Beta college, ITTI, Global College和Sterling College等私校宣布關門倒閉。

11月初，Global Campus Management/Meridian Group旗下私校的忽然倒閉，掀起了公眾對澳洲國際教育業不信任的最高峰。

由于有眾多中國留學生身陷澳洲私校倒閉風波中，澳洲留學生問題成為國內媒體近期重點關注的話題。

但兩國教育體制的不同，導致國內部分媒體錯誤的理解澳洲倒閉學校的“成分”，誤導了不少關心澳洲留學問題的學生和家長。

以最近倒閉的私校為例：Global Campus Management/Meridian Group旗下私校The Meridian International School，屬于高中和技術專科學院相結合的院校。而技術專科學院（Technical and Further Education） ，簡稱TAFE，主要是學習參加工作時所需要的技能。

TAFE的“成分”是技術專科學院而不是大學,近期倒閉的私校，均屬技術專科學院，或技術專科學院與高中相結合的院校，并不是國內報道的“澳洲大學倒閉”！

澳大利亞共有39所大學，其中只有2所私立大學，其余37所均屬公立大學。而39所澳洲大學里，有8多大學在澳洲本土和國際上最具知名度，那就是留學生們口中的“8大”。

想要來澳洲留學深造的學生們首先要認清澳洲學校的“成分”，這樣才能幫助自己合理安排留學目的地，避免不必要的惡性留學事件發生。

澳洲私立大學

Bond University，成立于1987年。University of Notre Dame Australia，成立于1989年。

8大——澳洲的常青藤盟校——八校聯盟（Group of Eight）
